What happens in a session

You book a session, join a partner, briefly say what you plan to do and work on separate tasks. At the end you report what happened. Standard sessions last 25, 50 or 75 minutes. The camera stays on, and you need a microphone for the introduction and check-out. Keep confidential documents and private backgrounds outside the camera view.

A scheduled appointment can make the start visible. That is a feature of the format, not proof that every user becomes more productive. The free plan allows three sessions per week. Plus removes that session limit. The published price is $8 per month when billed annually, which is $96 for a year, or $12 when billed monthly. Try the free sessions with comparable tasks before paying. Write down whether you attended, started the intended action and completed it. A pleasant interaction is useful feedback, but it is different from a finished result.

Does every session need advance booking?

Standard sessions use scheduled slots. Focus Now offers instant 50-minute matching after you have completed at least three regular sessions. Matching availability and the exact start depend on the service. A first-time user should not assume that every session is immediately available without preparation.

This distinction changes the alternatives question. If your only concern is scheduling, check whether Focus Now meets your needs before switching. If your concern is the camera, that feature does not remove the camera requirement.

When another format fits better
